Is it hot enough outside for you? It's SO hot here today that I think it's the perfect day to stay inside and enjoy the air conditioning - and maybe even make some popsicles! Here's a fun little game for your students to practice adding up summer treats. It would make a perfect math work station!
Students pick a card with an addition problem, solve it with manipulatives, and then find the card with the answer. If you picked up any pocket charts or popsicle/ice cream erasers at Target then this is the perfect way to get some use out of them! Don't worry, if you didn't buy those erasers I included some counters on the last page of the game.
Click here to grab your copy of this game. Enjoy!
This is so cute! Thanks for sharing.

If any of you really want those erasers and your Target doesn't have them, I saw them at Party City last time I was there. I am mini eraser obsessed and Target and Party City always have cute seasonal ones to use for classroom games!
ReplyDeleteMeredith,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today and I spent the last couple of hours being amazed by tour ideas! Thanks for sharing! I'm just a "teacher in waiting" (waiting on a teaching position to open up so I could have a chance at getting it!). I finished my teacher ed program in May and there are NO jobs in a 3 county area around here! But, enough whining on my part! I appreciate you sharing all your ideas and I'm sure it won't be long till you have 100's of followers. I know I am one of them!

OOPS! Guess I should have previewed my post! That should say "your ideas" not "tour ideas"! Sorry!

Thanks Lori-you are too kind! Good luck with your job search-I know there are not many teaching jobs available these days. There are SO many good ideas out there on the internet-just keep filing them away and eventually you will get to put them to good use in your own classroom!
